Education takes into account the behavioral characteristics and social expectation that fit the stages of development. The process of learning in educational activities is done based on the Al-Qur’an and prophet’s example by considering the sensitivity, especially in early childhood and puberty. Human development is divided into four stages, prenatal period ( daur al-Ijtinani), childhood period ( daur at-Thufulah), period of maturity ( daur ‘Aqil-balig), and longevity period ( daur as-Syuyukh). Human fitrah is perennial, permanent, and unchanging, but in behavior is affected by maturity and learning according to stages of development. The results of the study of human development in Al-Qur’an show the alignment of Islamic insights with theories of the invention of modern psychology. Verses of Al-Qur’an that are to the theme are arranged in a systematic flow of thought, then analyzed, compared, and formulated in a conceptual framework with theories and modern psychology selectively. Al-Qur’an as the main source used as data. The study conducted using thematic commentary approach. The study about human development on Al-Qur’an be intended to dig and find insight into Islam about human and lifelong development.
